Drilling Notice

April 9, 2024

This notification is being distributed on behalf of the Department of Navy (Navy) to inform you of environmental drilling to be conducted in your neighborhood. The Navy, in conjunction with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, will be conducting these activities in the following locations:

Public Meeting Change Notice

March 20, 2024

Notice is hereby given that the South Farmingdale Water District (SFWD) public meeting scheduled for Tuesday April 9, 2024 is cancelled.

A public meeting will be held on Tuesday April 23, 2024 at 4:00 PM, at the South Farmingdale Water District, 40 Langdon Rd, Farmingdale, New York 11735.

This notice shall be posted on the SFWD website and the Town of Oyster Bay website.

Notice of Adoption

January 11, 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting held on the 9th day of January, 2024, the Board of Commissioners of the South Farmingdale Water District duly adopted a resolution, an abstract of which follows, which resolution is subject to a permissive referendum pursuant to Town Law Article 7:

RESOLUTION authorizing the Business Manager to appropriate funds from the Capital Reserve MTBE Treatment Fund for the purpose of funding the design and construction of water treatment facilities to house and protect existing filters and equipment at various plant sites, together with requisite engineering, administrative, legal and contingency amounts associated therewith, for an estimated cost not to exceed $1,073,074.42.

This resolution is adopted subject to permissive referendum as set forth in Town Law Article 7 and shall take effect thirty (30) days after its adoption, or, if a referendum is held, upon the affirmative vote of a majority of the qualified electors of the issuer voting on the referendum.
